Rob Brown of Sprucewoods, Manitoba, Canada emailed some photos of his 1998 GMC extended cab and we went bonkers. We LOVE this truck. Rob was only hoping for a Reader's Ride (Bragging Rights) inclusion but we've got bigger ideas. Either we are going to have to fly to Canada or we're going to have to find a pro photographer to do a full feature on this awesome ride!
Bought the truck in 02' where I promised myself it would get a set of 33's and a body lift at most and that was it........lol, ya right! It did get that, but then came the 4" IFS lift, which was later swapped out for the 6" IFS lift, then a set of 35's, then while offroading I kept breaking front shafts. Well....then came the solid axle swap. I researched this for sometime before jumping in with both feet. The truck was torn down around 2005 to do the swap, and was driven for a couple years working any bugs out that came up. Then in the winter of 2007 the truck was torn down once again for a complete teardown/overhaul.
