We were honored when a representative of SEMA emailed editor Bob Carpenter with a list of questions about emerging trends in wheel and tire selections. SEMA News will be doing an article on the subject and they wanted Bob's input since he's out in the field every day dealing with custom trucks.

What we told the SEMA guy was that we're seeing less chrome, more blacks and dark colors on wheels. And both wheel and tire sizes have stopped going up, up and up. People are more conscious of the effect big wheels and tires have on rolling resistance (hence, fuel mileage) and they've been scaling back. Also, we noted the quirky trend (mostly spotted in Central and Northern California) of little wheels and little tires on lifted trucks.
